The last stop on the 2016/2017 MARIN SERIES library tour…TITANIA, a Fairfax fern, DESDEMONA, ivy climbing up a Fairfax tree, and KATHARINA, golden grass of Woodacre, are on view at the Larkspur Library through the month of August.  They are 3 of 11 pieces of MARIN SERIES by light artist Melissa Schaeffer.  She also wrote a poem, an ode to Janis Joplin, a once resident of Larkspur, which Sy Auerbach utilized as lyrics and composed into a song–a copy of the song “Larkspur Flower Lady” which John C. Morris did calligraphy on, is on view at the library, as well.  The pieces themselves are black and white film transparency.  Along are images, documented by John, of the installation in the Larkspur Library…
